Course objective:
The course aim is to provide military and civilian personnel with a basic understanding of the functioning of military logistics within NATO. The course comprises intensive logistics training organized within NATO structures. The course is primarily aimed at those involved in planning and implementing logistics support for Allied operations. The course allows participants to deepen their understanding of the principles of logistics within NATO, its basic functions, planning processes, and supporting tools. The training focuses on an introduction to the subject matter – from NATO's general strategic context, through logistics fundamentals, to specific planning processes and tools such as LOGFAS. The course covers specific functions of NATO logistics, including transport, medical support, environmental protection, and military equipment maintenance. The course concludes with a practical component of group project work.
Thematic scope of the course:
- Detailed aspects of military logistics within NATO;
- Procedures for creating NATO documents;
- NATO Logistics Information Management;
- Identification of the LOGFAS system and its modules and functionalities;
- CIMIC (Civil-Military Cooperation);
- HNS (Host Nation Support);
- RSOM (Reception, Staging, and Onward Movement);
- Operational logistics planning.

The course is primarily aimed at those involved in planning and implementing logistics support for Allied operations. The training provides a deeper understanding of the interoperability of NATO's logistics components at the theater level, enabling them to perform their duties in positions within international structures. The course concludes with a practical component of group work on a project.
